Drop off drugs, keep our water system clean
The Pasco County Sheriff's Office will hold another "pill drop" event Sept. 25 for people to safely discard unused or expired prescription drugs, over-the-counter medications, vitamins and needles. The event will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Gulf View Square mall, 9409 U.S. 19 in Port Richey; and at the Shops at Wiregrass, 28211 Paseo Drive in Wesley Chapel. Residents can simply drive up, drop off the items and drive away, no questions asked. This event helps prevent unwanted drugs from being flushed away or thrown in the garbage, which can end up in the county dump or the water supply.
