Meet candidates at Town hall event Friday
Palm Harbor Voters United, a nonpartisan citizens group, will host a town hall meeting Friday at the Palm Harbor Community Center, 1500 16th St. The event will begin with a meet and greet with the candidates at 6 p.m. At 7:15 p.m., the candidates will make presentations. Refreshments will be provided and information on state, county and local community infrastructure projects for the period 2010- 2015 in Palm Harbor will be available during the event. Tree festival needs vendors, volunteers
Organizers for the 2010 UPARC Foundation Annual Festival of Trees are looking for sponsors, tree decorators, vendors and other volunteers. UPARC, which stands for the Upper Pinellas Association of Retarded Citizens, will put on the event Nov. 12-16 at the Long Center, 1501 N Belcher Road. It will showcase more than 100 uniquely decorated trees that will be for sale, along with handcrafted gifts, entertainment and children's activities. The festivities will kick off with "Premier Night — Rock A-Round the Christmas Tree" with Otis Day and the Knights at 7 p.m. Nov. 12. Auditions for play are this week
West Coast Players will hold auditions for Reckless written by Craig Lucas on Monday and Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the West Coast Players Theatre, 21905 U.S. 19 N in Clearwater. Reckless is a satirical exploration of what happens when we leave our comfort zones. Director Janice Creneti is casting for men and women between 20 and 50. The city of Dunedin is accepting applications from Dunedin residents for consideration of appointment to the Board of Trustees of the Municipal Firefighters' Pension Trust Fund.
