SCHOOL BUSES TO PRACTICE ROUTES
Don't be surprised to see school buses on the road today even though classes won't begin until Tuesday for Hillsborough County schools. The district is sending all 1,100 buses on real-time practice runs to spot potential problems. Officials said buses would be making all of their regular stops, both in the morning and afternoon. "Bus drivers will follow real-time conditions at every stop by activating the stop arm, flashing lights, and opening the door," the district said in a statement. "Motorists are reminded to comply with all laws related to school buses."
Forbes.com labels Tampa stressed-out
Breathe deeply before you read this: Tampa is the nation's fourth-most stressed-out city, Forbes.com says. We're out of shape and out of work. On the other hand, we're stuck in traffic and in the office too long. To make its rankings, Forbes.com measured six indicators of stress among the country's 40 largest metro areas: high unemployment (the Tampa Bay area ranked 5); long commute times (17); long working hours (10); limited health care (13); poor physical health (4); and limited exercise (9). The most-stressed cities, Forbes.com says, are Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Houston.
