TAMPA —The woman killed by a hit-and-run driver while riding her bicycle near the University of South Florida on Saturday morning has been identified as Kayoko Ishizuka, 30, of Tampa.

Investigators had not made any arrests Sunday in the case. But according to sheriff's spokesman Deputy Larry McKinnon, the vehicle believed to have been involved in the crash was found.

According to a curriculum vitae posted on the USF Health website, Ishizuka was a recent biochemistry Ph.D. graduate and was working as a research associate at USF's department of molecular medicine.

The accident occurred at 1:40 a.m. near the intersection of University Square Drive and Bruce B. Downs Boulevard, across from the USF campus.
