LARGO — Authorities evacuated 23 residents for about an hour near a gas leak Monday evening while a severed gas line was capped.
Several units from the Largo Fire Department and Clearwater Gas responded to 2710 Adrian Ave., Largo, to cap the line. A backhoe ruptured the 1-inch line, said Largo Fire Department District Chief Jeremiah McAuliffe.
Residents were allowed to return to their homes after the line was sealed.
