ST. PETERSBURG - Police have arrested a man they say sexually abused a teen girl for years.
Jorge Morera Mata, 66, of 460 54th St. N, was arrested Tuesday on one charge of sexual battery and two charges of lewd and lascivious molestation.
Mata has abused the unidentified girl, who is 16, many times over the past few years. According to an arrest affidavit, he fondled and kissed the girl's breasts, forced her to touch him, performed oral sex on her and tried to have sex with her as recently as August.
Mata remained in the Pinellas County Jail on Wednesday without bail.
