Pasco County Extension Services will hold the following events next month:
• Master Gardeners will be at the Pioneer Festival Sept. 4-5 at the Pioneer Florida Museum, 1 mile north of Dade City off U.S. 301, east on Pioneer Museum Road. Master Gardeners will give talks on worm composting, butterflies and hummingbirds.
• Bamboo seminar, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Sept. 7 at the Hudson Library, 8012 Library Road, Hudson.
• "Orchids Made Easy" seminar, 9-11 a.m. Sept. 11 at the Land O'Lakes Community Center, 5401 Land O'Lakes Blvd. (U.S. 41), Land O'Lakes.
• "Fall Vegetable Gardening" seminar, 10-11 a.m. Sept. 19 at Home Depot, 10017 U.S. 19, Port Richey.
• Best Management Practices for Green Industries Program, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Sept. 21 at the Pasco Cooperative Extension at the Pasco County Fairgrounds, State Road 52, Dade City. The program is designed to help lawn and garden professionals become certified. Presenters will provide information on increasing the beauty of the home landscape and conserving water and other resources through more environmentally friendly practices. There is a registration fee that includes all materials and lunch. There will be breaks throughout the program.
