TAMPA — A jewelry store robbery resulted in a street closing and a standoff at a building Friday afternoon.
It started at about 4 p.m. when thieves robbed the store at 11214 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Deputies responded and spotted the suspects' vehicle as it fled the scene. A pursuit occurred and the Sheriff's Office closed a stretch of 50th Street between MLK Boulevard and Hillsborough Avenue to search for the suspects.
Just after 5 p.m., authorities announced that three suspects had been arrested, and the final suspect had barricaded himself inside a business. He surrendered just after 6 p.m. Their names were not available by press time Friday night.
