Humane Society of the Nature Coast
Bear is a 2-year-old Border collie/golden retriever mix. He is social and gets along great with other dogs. He also gets along pretty well on a leash and loves the water. Bear visits residents at assisted living facilities. He is current with his vaccinations and has been neutered and microchipped. Inquiries about adopting Bear or other dogs and cats can be made at the Humane Society of the Nature Coast shelter at Wiscon and Mobley roads, Brooksville. The shelter is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. The shelter is run strictly on donations; no government subsidies are provided. The adoption fee is $50 for cats, $75 for dogs, to cover the cost of some shots, spaying/neutering and deworming. For information, call (352) 796-2711. Website: naturecoasthumanesociety.org.
