ST. PETERSBURG — A 38-year-old man with a lengthy arrest record is accused of forcing a woman into a sex act Saturday afternoon.
Burlin J. Thompson, whose address was listed on an arrest report as 226 Sixth Ave. S, was charged with sexual battery.
According to St. Petersburg police, Thompson punched the female victim in the mouth, then forced her to perform oral sex on him.
The incident happened at about 3:45 p.m. in the 400 block of Third Avenue N, according to the report.
A witness was able to identify Thompson, an arrest report shows. On Sunday, he was being held in the Pinellas County Jail in lieu of $10,250 bail.
Court records show Thompson, who is a native of Ohio, has been arrested on more than two dozen charges in Pinellas since 2006. He has previous convictions on several of those charges, including assault, battery, battery on a law enforcement officer, retail theft and cocaine possession.
