Westfield Style Tour offers makeovers, more

The Westfield Style Tour, a weekend featuring private sessions with professional stylists and beauty consultants, is from 1 to 8 p.m. today and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at Westfield Brandon, 459 Brandon Town Center. The event will offer styling and makeover sessions from MAC, Clinique, Chanel, Estee Lauder, the Body Shop and Bare Escentuals, in addition to various discounts and promotions. Greyhound group to hold pet adoption

Club wine, cheese event is Saturday

The Brandon Lions Club will hold a wine and cheese fundraiser at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Winthrop Barn Theatre, 11349 Bloomingdale Ave. The event will include live entertainment from Jeannie Rossi and a Righteous Brothers tribute band. CEO Unplugged luncheon is Thursday

The Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals will host the annual CEO Unplugged luncheon at noon Thursday at the Bridges, 11350 Bloomingdale Ave., Riverview. The event will feature a panel of five top-level CEOs from the Brandon area who will answer questions about their respective companies and backgrounds. Registration is $18 for chamber and Young Professional members, and $23 for nonmembers.

Veterans Day Parade seeks participants

VFW essay contest has parade ride prize

An essay contest for local third-, fourth- and fifth-graders will award two winners with a ride in the Ruskin VFW's Veterans Day Parade. The essays, which are due Oct. 15, should be 50 to 100 words and describe the student's viewpoint on the topic, "Why I like being an American."

Field of Honor event honors fallen troops

The Veterans Council of Hillsborough will conduct a Field of Honor ceremony at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Veterans Memorial Park and Museum, 3602 U.S. Highway 301 N.
