TAMPA — Shots fired early Thursday from a white SUV hit two people, police said.

James C. Henry, 45, was shot in the hand. Another bullet went through his house, hitting his brother, 53-year-old James G. Henry, in the upper body, Tampa police spokeswoman Laura McElroy said.

The first victim had walked in front of his home at 2925 N 18th St. after his daughter and an unknown female began fighting outside shortly before 5 a.m., police said.

Police said the suspect shot the men from a "high-profile white SUV."

Both victims were taken to a local hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening.

Police described the suspect as a 5-10, dark-skinned black male with shoulder-length dreadlocks. He wore a red shirt, and appeared to be 20 to 25 years old.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Tampa police at (813) 231-6130.
