PORT RICHEY
Wrestler died of accidental overdose
Luna Vachon, the 48-year-old former professional wrestler whose body was found Aug. 27 in her Port Richey home, died from a drug overdose, the Medical Examiner's Office concluded. Vachon, whose real name was Gertrude Herd-Nash, had oxycodone and antianxiety medication in her system, said Bill Pellan, director of investigations for the District 6 Medical Examiner's Office. Pellan said the death was accidental. Friends of Vachon's said she dealt with chronic neck and back pain from injuries suffered during her wrestling career. After she retired in 2007, Vachon worked as a tow truck driver in Port Richey.
