Concert planned today at Souly His Ministries

BrewHaHa benefits kids with hearing loss

Groups sought for Spooktacular
Largo Special Events is looking for businesses and organizations to sponsor trick-or-treat stops for the 2010 Halloween Spooktacular Saturday at Largo Central Park, 101 Central Park Drive. The event is estimated to draw 30,000 people. Sponsors will be asked to decorate a 10-by-10-foot area along the trick-or-treat path and supply a minimum of 3,000 pieces of candy to pass out to trick-or-treaters from 4 to 8 p.m. Space is limited. 'Conjunction Junction, what's your function?'
Tickets are on sale for School House Rock, the first installment of the Largo Cultural Center Children's Educational Series. It will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 6. In this Emmy Award-winning 1970s pop culture phenomenon, the audience will enjoy a series of classic songs like Unpack Your Adjectives, I'm Just A Bill and Conjunction Junction while learning subjects such as grammar, math, history and science. Learn about careers in health care at fair
The Pinellas County Job Corps Center, 500 22nd St. S, is hosting an enrollment fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday for residents ages 16-24 who are interested in training for a career in the health care industry. Students can train for careers as a nurse assistant, home health aide, clinical medical assistant or in medical billing and coding. In addition, students can earn a high school diploma or GED. The Heritage Village Fall Jubilee will take place Saturday throughout the county's 21-acre living-history museum at 11909 125th St. It runs from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The event will include crafters, antique vendors, a flea market and book sale, live music, a tour of historic homes, living-history activities and traditional craft demonstrations. Lake Seminole Presbyterian Church, 8505 113th St. N, is having American sign language classes for beginners and advanced students starting Tuesday and continuing for six weeks. Mentors, age 30 or up, needed for children
Gulf Coast Community Care needs volunteers age 30 and older for its mentoring program. Volunteers give their time to one child and are provided social activities and receive support from agency staff. Many children are in foster care or live with a single parent who is going to school and working. Volunteers spend a few hours a month in simple activities such as reading, fishing, baking, teaching a craft or visiting a park with a child. Tennis shoes, jeans needed for men, boys
Clothes To Kids, a nonprofit organization that provides free clothing to low-income school-age children, needs boys' and men's tennis shoes and boys' jeans. New or gently used clothes and shoes can be dropped off between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at Clothes to Kids' two locations: 1059 N Hercules Ave., Clearwater and 3251 Third Ave. N, St. Petersburg.
