ARIPEKA -- The two women went to Rudolf Hellmold's home on Thursday afternoon carrying a message of peace and love. They got a string of profanities and a loaded pistol pointed at them in return, according to a sheriff's report.
Carla Dignall and Lenore Salvato, both Jehovah's Witnesses, were walking up the sidewalk at 1355 Osowaw Blvd. when Hellmond, 52, appeared in the window of his home and started yelling profanities at them, the Hernando County Sheriff's report states.
Hellmold, the report continues, then pointed a smaller silver handgun at them and said, "You f----ing Jehovah Witnesses get the f--- off my property!" The women left and called the sheriff's office.
Hellmold later admitted to deputies that he pointed his loaded silver Smith and Wesson handgun at the women, but he said that they refused to identify themselves and that they frightened him when they reached into a bag.
Hellmond was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault.
