Anita Bosworth has opened Anita’s Restaurant in the former Chesapeake Crab House location at 3095 Anderson Snow Road, Spring Hill. Anita’s is an upscale lounge and restaurant with an eclectic menu. Bosworth relocated to Florida from Massachusetts six years ago to open Southern Hills Plantation Club in Brooksville as the food and beverage director. Before that, she was the food and beverage manager at Cranwell Resort Spa & Golf Club in Lenox, Mass. Bosworth has been in the restaurant-hospitality-golf industry her entire career and always wanted to open her own restaurant. The business had its grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday. Volunteer role models are needed for Diploma-See, an eighth-grade initiative that inspires students to stay in school and teaches them the economics of success.
Two training sessions provided by Junior Achievement will be at 8:30 a.m. and at 10 a.m. Nov. 19 at the Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce office, 15588 Aviation Loop Drive, south of Brooksville.
The training includes a review of the curriculum and activities, as well as suggestions for the most effective presentation of the material and teaching tips.
The Diploma-See program will be conducted in all eighth-grade classrooms at Parrott Middle School, 19920 Youth Drive, Brooksville, on Dec. 3.

Ford Motor Co. and Flammer Ford are partnering to help raise up to $6,000 to support Springstead High School's "Drive One 4 UR School" program.
Community members can raise money by test driving a Ford vehicle between 8:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. Wednesday at the school's bus loop, 3300 Mariner Blvd., Spring Hill.
Ford Motor Co. and Flammer Ford will donate $20 to Springstead High School for every person who test drives one of the following: a 2011 Taurus, Fusion Hybrid or Sport, Fiesta, Mustang, Edge or F150.
Each test drive will last about five minutes. Participants must be age 18 or older and have a valid driver's license. There is a limit of one test drive per household.

Kylee Hoaglin, a mermaid at Weeki Wachee Springs State Park, has opened A K Dance Away dance studio at 5122 Commercial Way, in Winchester Plaza near Weeki Wachee.
Hoaglin, who has had more than 14 years of dance training, says her teaching styles are driven by each individual's ability. The studio offers up to 15 dance classes, including ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop and ballroom.

Kim Hoover has been promoted to night nursing supervisor at Oak Hill Hospital, 11375 Cortez Blvd., Spring Hill.
Hoover has been a relief supervisor at Oak Hill for the past year. She previously worked in the surgical intensive care unit. Before joining Oak Hill, Hoover was a traveling nurse and worked in critical care units in Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina and California.

The conference for board of trustee members was at the Kehoe-France School and was attended by association board members from around the country.
Wider Horizons School is a college preparatory school that opened in 1983.

Tickets are available at the store for participating local nonprofit organizations to sell in advance of the event. All proceeds from each $5 ticket will benefit the charity.
In return for the $5, customers receive a ticket admitting them to the sale, which will offer merchandise discounts ranging from 20 percent to 50 percent. Customers also receive $5 off their first purchase of $5 or more. Belk cardholders receive double points for card purchases, and Belk Elite cardholders receive triple reward points.
