TAMPA — Police officials are offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a man responsible for identity theft and check fraud.
Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay said the incidents occurred between May 12 and May 15 in Hillsborough and Pinellas counties. The man used a stolen identity to make purchases using counterfeit checks.
The suspect, a heavy-set white man between 40 to 55 years old with brown hair, was last seen driving a green sport utility vehicle, possibly a Ford Explorer or Expedition. Photos are available on the Crime Stoppers website.
