CLEARWATER
Fire LEAVES 2 HOMELESS
An unattended candle sparked a Thanksgiving eve fire that badly damaged a single-family home and left a family of two homeless, Clearwater officials said. The blaze at 1088 Webb Drive was reported at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, officials said. When the Clearwater Fire Department got there, two residents were outside of the house and heavy flames were shooting out the back, officials said. The fire was put out by 10 p.m., and no one was hurt. The home had about $80,000 in damage, officials said. Two residents were receiving housing assistance from the American Red Cross, said Joelle Castelli, a city spokeswoman.
