NEW PORT RICHEY — A 93-year-old New Port Richey woman was killed Tuesday in an early morning vehicle crash on U.S. 19, police said.
Eleanor King was going east on Shamrock Drive in a 1998 Toyota Corolla when she drove into the path of a 2004 Kia Sorrento at about 8 a.m., New Port Richey police reported. The other driver, Dianne Harris, 52, was headed south on U.S. 19 and struck the Toyota on its side, police said.
King was taken to Bayfront Medical Center, where she died from her injuries, police said.
Harris, of Hazelhurst, Miss., suffered a minor injury, police said. No charges were filed, police said.
