Clearwater
City seeks ideas for East Gateway logo
Clearwater is seeking ideas from citizens regarding the creation of a logo for the East Gateway neighborhood just east of the city's downtown core. The logo development will be the first step in a visioning process for the area that's expected to begin in early 2011. Artists and designers, visionaries and members of the public are encouraged to submit their design ideas, color and typeface suggestions and sketches of elements that might be considered. Entries should be received no later than Dec. 17. The East Gateway District, a designated redevelopment area of Clearwater, is bordered by Drew Street on the north, Highland Avenue on the east, Missouri Avenue on the west, and Court Street on the south. The logo is expected to reflect the unique personality and potential of the area. For more information or to submit ideas, contact Ekaterini Gerakios, community development coordinator, at Ekaterini.Gerakios@myclearwater.com or call (727) 562-4047.
