SHARE food orders to be taken Thursday
SHARE (Self Help And Resource Exchange) food orders will be taken from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at Mariner United Methodist Church, 7079 Mariner Blvd. Distribution of orders will be Dec. 18.
SHARE food is equal in quality to that of national grocery chains but costs about 50 percent less. Special Christmas packages are available for $30. The basic SHARE order containing meats, vegetables and fruit costs $20. Other speciality items are available for order, including produce packages, and meat and seafood items.
The minimum order is $6. There are no income requirements to participate. For details, call (352) 596-0080.

Wine tasting will benefit Dawn Center
A wine tasting event to benefit the Dawn Center will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 10 at Strong Tower Winery, 17810 Forge Drive.
The event will include wine tasting, hors d'oeuvres, door prizes and raffles. After the tasting, Strong Tower wines will be available by the glass or bottle for purchase.

Breakfast with Santa is fundraiser for band
A Breakfast with Santa fundraiser will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in the cafeteria at Central High School, 14075 Ken Austin Parkway.
The cost is $5 for breakfast. There will be crafts, raffles, pictures with Santa and Christmas music.

Christmas show will be Friday at 6 p.m.
The High Point community will present its annual Christmas show at 6 p.m. Friday in the community center, 12249 Clubhouse Road.

Gun and knife show will be this weekend
The Hernando Sportsman's Club will host its annual Christmas Gun and Knife Show from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Hernando County Fairgrounds, 6436 S Broad St.
The show will include new, used and antique firearms, knives and related accessories.
Admission is $6; children 15 and younger will be admitted free but must be accompanied by an adult. Proceeds benefit the development of the club's 80-acre recreational and shooting facility north of Weeki Wachee in the Chassahowitzka Wildlife Management Area. Get art, other items appraised at show
St. Frances Cabrini Knights of Columbus Council 13209 will host its annual Fall Antique Appraisal Show from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday in Xavier Hall, 5030 Mariner Blvd.
The event will be fashioned after the Antiques Roadshow television program.
It will include a certified personal property appraiser, Dale Smrekar, who specializes in collectibles, fine art, jewelry, coins and paper money, oil paintings, sports memorabilia, antique guns, antique swords and knives, vintage toys and other items. Smrekar is certified by the Appraisers Guild of America and has provided appraisals for attorneys, guardians and individuals for 14 years.

Veterans to celebrate Christmas at party
Korean War Veterans Chapter 174 and Ladies Auxiliary will host a Christmas party Dec. 11 at VFW Post 10209, 14736 Edward R. Noll Drive.
Doors will open at 1:30 p.m. The party will feature a buffet dinner and a show featuring Irish comedian Danny Justice. Music for dancing will be provided by the Key Notes.
Door prizes will be awarded, and a cash bar will be available.
