NEW PORT RICHEY — A 47-year-old woman is accused of blasting music at her neighbors and threatening to shoot them in an ongoing dispute over her dogs.

Maleka Sharay went up to one neighbor and said, "You killed my dog. I'm coming over to shoot you both," according to a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report. The neighbors also said Sharay placed speakers on the property line and blared music for days at a time, loud enough to shake their walls.

A deputy who responded Nov. 13 found the music was audible up to 440 feet away from Sharay's home at 9401 Star Trail. The property was guarded by five large dogs that prevented deputies from reaching her front door, the report said.

Sharay was cited by county officials back in 2008 after she had accumulated 17 cats and 16 dogs, well over the nine pets allowed per home. She gave away the extra animals and authorities dropped the charges.

Deputies on Thursday arrested Sharay on one count of disorderly conduct and four counts of aggravated stalking. She also faces two noise ordinance citations.

She was released Friday on $20,150 bail.
