ST. PETERSBURG — An armed robber was shot and killed and another man was injured Tuesday night in what police described as a botched hold-up at a game room business.
The incident occurred about 8:45 p.m. at the 16th Street Game Room, a business where patrons play cards and billiards at 1741 16th St. S, police said.
Police said two men entered the business wielding guns. At some point, one of the robbers was shot, though it was unclear by whom. The second robber fled the scene and remained at large Tuesday night.
The dead man's body lay in the doorway of the business covered by a yellow tarp as police officers investigated Tuesday night.
