ST. PETERSBURG — Two armed men intending to rob a St. Petersburg business were both shot Tuesday, and one of them died. It is unclear who fired.
Robert Lee Dawson, 29, and Lathierio M. Golden, 23, entered the 16th Street Game Room, a cards and billiards parlor at 1741 16th St. S, around 8:45 p.m. Police found Dawson's body in the doorway of the business after he was fatally shot in the upper body.
Golden was also shot. He fled after the incident but was later arrested. Golden is accused of second-degree felony murder, armed robbery and for being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Two robbery victims were hurt, but police said their injuries were not life threatening.
