TAMPA — Flames went through the roof of a home Thursday in north Hillsborough County, and firefighters were forced to work from outside because the fire was too intense.
No injuries were reported from the fire at the single-story home, 16009 Pennington Place, said Ray Yeakley, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue spokesman.
Firefighters were ordered to evacuate by 2:30 p.m. because it was unsafe to be inside. They then began protecting neighboring houses.
It wasn't immediately known if anyone was home during the fire, officials said.
No other details were immediately available as officials remained on scene.
