SPRING HILL — A Spring Hill churchgoer found out over the weekend that an unattended purse can be vulnerable even in a house of worship.
Bridget S. Pachoumis, 38, of Spring Hill was arrested and charged with fraud Sunday after she admitted to stealing two credit cards from a purse at First Baptist Church of Spring Hill and racking up nearly $600 in charges, according to a Hernando Sheriff's Office report.
Jaima Kunz told deputies she left her purse on a seat near the back of the church and that a woman came in, sat down by the purse and then left before the end of the service. Later that day, Kunz got a call from the fraud department of her credit card company and discovered two of her Visa cards were missing.
