TAMPA — A man was arrested late Tuesday after police said he robbed four local businesses, five times this month.
Eric Goody, 26, address unknown, faces five counts of commercial robbery.
Police said Goody went to Good Taste China, 8221 Florida Ave., around 10 p.m. Tuesday and demanded money. His face was covered with a white cloth.
Police connected this robbery to four previous robberies at China Garden, Walgreens and Family Dollar.
Police set up a perimeter following Tuesday's robbery. An officer eventually spotted Goody because he matched the description of the man who robbed Good Taste China.
Police said Goody was involved in the Aug. 11 robbery that was thwarted when a 69-year-old Vietnam Vet, Clifford Leo Bisek, chased him out of the store with his cane.
Goody told Bay News 9 he didn't have a choice.
"I was living on the streets," he said. "My girl was pregnant. I had to provide somehow"
