Hurricane forecasters say the remnants of the fifth tropical depression of the season could develop again near the Florida Panhandle.
The National Hurricane Center said there is a 50 percent chance of the low-pressure system becoming a tropical cyclone in the next two days.
The system, located just south of Panama City, is moving westward over the northern Gulf.
Heavy rain and gusty winds are possible from the Panhandle to southern Louisiana through Tuesday, according to the National Hurricane Center.
The Tampa Bay area will not see the same high rain chances, said Bay News 9 meteorologist Juli Marquez.
Today will "feel like" around 100 and 105 for much of the area, she said. Highs will be in the low-90s for the coast and the mid-90s further inland.
