ST. PETERSBURG — Motorists and downtown workers should expect delays Tuesday morning because of a parade celebrating the opening of the new Salvador Dali museum. Both the parade assembly area and route will be closed to all moving traffic beginning at 5 a.m. Tuesday. Residential permit holders were advised to find alternate parking locations to ensure their vehicles are not towed before 5 a.m.
Marchers will assemble in front of the old museum at 1000 Third St. S at 8:30 a.m. before stepping off at 9:30 a.m. for an eight block walk that goes north on Third St. S., then turns east on Dali Boulevard, and ends in the parking lot of the new museum at One Dali Blvd. (Bayshore Drive SE and Fifth Avenue SE) about 10:30 a.m. Motorists should expect traffic delays in the area ...
