Longtime Pasco schools leader to retire soon
Longtime Pasco County educator Jim Davis has decided to retire as district assistant superintendent a year before his official drop date arrives. His last day with the district will be Jan. 19. Davis, who oversaw high schools, alternative schools, adult education and athletics, is taking leave until then. Superintendent Heather Fiorentino praised his three decades of service. "His leadership has had a profound impact on the lives of countless students," Fiorentino said. "As evidenced by the improvement in our high school grades released last month, Mr. Davis has created a rich tradition of excellence during his tenure, and we will continue to build upon the success he has facilitated."
