$500 buys supplies for the homeless
The Hernando County Education Foundation and Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union and Suncoast for Kids Foundation have combined to provide $500 to the Homeless Student liaison within the school district.
The money will be used to provide jackets, underwear, socks, shoes, backpacks and other material for homeless students. Contact school district social worker Shanika Figueroa at (352) 797-7008 for information on receiving supplies.
