SPRING HILL -- Hernando County deputies say a woman tried to use a fake $100 bill, one of six she had in her possession, at a local store.
Danielle Walters, 22, tried to buy a $20 package of Creatine at the Spring Hill Natural Food Store on Spring Hill Drive Wednesday morning using a $100 bill, according to an arrest report.
When the store manager held the bill up in the light, she said she could faintly see the face of Abraham Lincoln, which is on the $5 bill. Benjamin Franklin is on the $100 bill.
The manager told Walters the bill was counterfeit, and Walters became very nervous, the report states. As the manager called the store owner, who advised her to contact the sheriff's office, Walters fled the store and left in a white Mitsubishi.
