SWAT team officers leave the shooting scene near 3734 28th Ave. S in St. Petersburg after the body of Hydra Lacy Jr. was discovered in the home around 2:15 p.m.

An undercover St. Petersburg detective, a deputy U.S. marshal and a Pinellas sheriff's deputy arrive at 3734 28th Ave. S to interview a relative of Hydra Lacy Jr., who is wanted on a warrant charging him with failing to appear in court on an aggravated battery charge.
Shortly after 7
A woman in the house tells authorities Hydra Lacy Jr. is in the attic and is likely armed.
7:07 a.m.
Officers call for backup. Sgt. Tom Baitinger and K-9 Officer Jeffrey Yaslowitz respond. Yaslowitz and the deputy marshal position themselves near the attic entrance and challenge Lacy to surrender.
