TAMPA —The 27-year-old woman stood in the courtroom and pointed to the chained inmate at the defense table.
That was him, she testified Tuesday.
The man who — at 3:30 a.m. on Aug. 16, 2008, after the bartender closed up the Docks restaurant — ran at her with a gun and held the barrel to her head.
The man who, along with two others, duct taped her and a 31-year-old coworker, forced the women into her truck and drove them to corners of Apollo Beach so remote no one could hear them scream.
The man who breathed alcohol on her as he groped her in the dark, then raped her friend again and again and again.
"Let the record reflect," said the prosecutor, "the victim has recognized the defendant."
