DADE CITY
Panel discusses ideas for city improvement
Officials tossed around ideas Tuesday evening for several projects using city redevelopment funds.
The ideas included $50,000 in improvements to the Seventh Street alleyway; $15,000 to pave the Novotny lot to allow for public parking; $25,000 for Eighth Street parking lot medians; moving utility lines underground at three intersections along Seventh Street; building a public restroom, preferably east of Seventh Street; and adding signs around the city.
Members of the Redevelopment Advisory Committee also discussed cleaning the sidewalks in the redevelopment district and adding a traffic signal at the overflow parking lot along Church Avenue to be used for events.
Any projects would ultimately need the blessing of the City Commission.
