The Occupy Wall Street movement has come to Tampa.
The protest about what organizers call "the greed and corruption of the wealthiest 1 percent" started Sept. 17 in New York. Social networking has spurred rallies across the nation.
Organizers met up in downtown Tampa Saturday and plan another rally Thursday at Lykes Gaslight Square Park.
How much momentum the local movement gains remains to be seen, but I love that I learned about it from a Hillsborough Community College student. Anytime a young person cares about something more than Lil' Wayne and Jersey Shore, I'm encouraged. …
