Man, 28, charged with abuse of child
A 28-year-old man is accused of abusing his 1-year-old child, who had to be hospitalized because of the injuries.
The incident happened on Feb. 25 in Zephyrhills, according to the Zephyrhills Police Department. Capt. Robert McKinney wouldn't comment on what allegedly happened or what type of injuries the child suffered. McKinney said the child was released from the hospital and is now in foster care.
Carmy Sylvain, of 5416 Tangerine Drive in Zephyrhills, was arrested Tuesday on a warrant on charges of aggravated child abuse. Sylvain is being held at the Pasco County jail in lieu of $150,000 bail.
