SEFFNER — A 16-year-old Armwood High School student said three men in a minivan tried to abduct her at a school bus stop early Wednesday, Hillsborough deputies said.

Deputies said the girl said one of the men tried to pull her by the arm into a silver minivan at Highway 92 and Anna Drive about 7 a.m.

The student broke free and ran, deputies said. There were no witnesses, deputies said.

The girl described the driver of the minivan as Hispanic, in his mid 30s, with short, uneven brown hair, brown eyes and a goatee. He had two silver square earrings in his right ear and wore baby-blue loose-fitting pants and a white T-shirt.

She described the second suspect as Hispanic, in his mid 30s, with long, brown curly shoulder-length hair. He wore red, tight designer pants.

She said the third man was Hispanic, tall, with no hair.

The minivan, possibly a Dodge Caravan, had damage on the passenger side rear near the wheel well, scratches on the passenger sliding door and beads hanging from the rearview mirror.

The suspects fled west on Highway 92.

Deputies ask anyone with information about the case to call the them at (813) 247-8200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-8477.
