NEW PORT RICHEY — A nurse is accused of altering her patients' records so they would be prescribed Percocet and then stealing the medication for herself, according to the New Port Richey Police Department.
Patricia Desroberts, 47, worked as a licensed practical nurse for Orchard Ridge Care and Rehabilitation Center at 4927 Voorhees Road, authorities said. She was arrested Thursday and charged with obtaining controlled substances by fraud.
She altered records for nine patients, authorities said. The investigator on the case is a New Port Richey officer working with the Pasco County Sheriff's Office vice unit. The nursing home did not immediately return a call Thursday for comment.
Desroberts of 11656 Osceola Drive in New Port Richey is being held at the Pasco County jail in lieu of $2,000 bail.
