Church's Oktoberfest set for Oct. 16
Christ Lutheran Church, 475 North Ave. W, will host an Oktoberfest at 4 p.m. Oct. 16.
The menu will include bratwurst, sauerkraut, German potato salad, coffee, tea and apple cider. Apple pie and German chocolate cake will be served for dessert.
The event will also include entertainment and raffles.
Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for children ages 4-11 and free for ages 3 and younger. Tickets must be purchased by Saturday. Call Janice at (352) 397-3884.
SPRING HILL
Kids' Halloween ball to help cancer fund
Elementary and middle school age children are invited to a Halloween Horror Ball from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the Lake House, 1202 Kenlake Ave.
The event will be fully chaperoned, and will include a DJ, karaoke and snacks.
The event is part of Gulf Coast Academy's "Pay It Forward Project" and is sponsored by Megan Means. All proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society's Spring Hill Relay for Life.
