ST. PETERSBURG — A 34-year-old man was seriously injured Tuesday afternoon after he lost control of his motorcycle and hit his head on the pavement, police said.
Gary Paul Thomas, 34, of St. Petersburg, was driving north on 24th Street near 32nd Avenue N about 5:45 p.m. when he swerved off and on the roadway while attempting to make a left turn, St. Petersburg Police said. Thomas, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the bike. He was listed in critical condition at Bayfront Medical Center, police said.
