County working on billing issue
The Hernando County Utilities Department has received numerous calls from customers regarding their payments not being posted to their accounts. However, there have been no identifiable problems with the U.S. Postal Service, the billing vendor that prints the statements and the payment processing center. The Utilities Department is asking customers who have mailed payments between Sept. 1 and 10 who have received another billing statement showing no payment received, to contact Customer Service at (352) 754-4037. Customers who call are asked to be patient, as telephone lines have been busy. Customer service can be reached weekdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at (352) 754-4037.
