Man jailed in assault on female friend
Police arrested a man they say assaulted an 80-year-old female acquaintance Friday.
Orm Moth, 56, of 672 60th St. S faces a charge of sexual battery. Moth forced himself on a woman he knew at an undisclosed location about noon Friday, according to an arrest affidavit. "The victim received serious internal injury requiring hospitalization," the report said.
Moth was arrested later that night. He remained in the Pinellas County Jail on Saturday in lieu of $100,000 bail.

Man jumps ship to avoid customs agents
Sheriff's Office divers fished a man out of Tampa Bay who they say dove off a ship during a customs search Saturday afternoon.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection searched the ship in the Hookers Point area near Port Sutton and detained three men.
The federal agency called the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office for assistance after the fourth man jumped overboard. His identity was not released.
