Racer to lead child care center cleanup
Community Pride Child Care, which serves 180 children and their families at two Clearwater centers, welcomes local race car driver Mickey Wright and other volunteers who are underwriting costs and giving their time to spruce up the facility's playground. At 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Wright and the volunteers will mow, trim hedges, spread mulch and anything else needed at 1235 Holt Ave. Community Pride is the only agency in Pinellas County offering free child care for infants to 5-year-olds from homeless families and victims of domestic violence.
