City makes offer on lot for new complex
The City Commission made an offer Tuesday evening to buy a vacant lot for additional parking for the proposed city hall/police department complex. The property sits on Pasco Avenue, across from the existing Police Department.
After receiving two appraisals over the summer, city officials will offer the owner, lawyer Charles Waller, $58,000 for the lot, contingent upon the city receiving the grants to build the new government complex. The city's offer is lower than the appraised value.
