Hurricane forecasters said tropical storm Danielle continued to strengthen overnight in the south-central Atlantic and likely will become a hurricane in the next day.
There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect for Florida, and the forecasted path has it moving away from the state toward Bermuda.
The system packed sustained winds of 60 mph, according to the National Hurricane Center's 5 a.m. update.
It's traveling west-northwest at 14 mph (map), but is expected to speed up through Tuesday.
