DUNEDIN — Authorities have identified an elderly woman whose body was found floating near the Dunedin Causeway late Wednesday night.
Jean L. Kelly, 80, of 5 Gateshead Drive, Unit 201, did not have any identification on her body, which was found by maintenance workers just before midnight at Royal Stewart Arms. Kelly lived alone in the waterfront condominium complex.
Kelly was fully clothed and there were no signs of foul play, Pinellas sheriff's deputies said. No one had reported a missing person matching her description, and authorities spent days trying to identify her.
Deputies are awaiting autopsy results, but believe Kelly drowned. Her death is not being considered suspicious.
