Eckerd forum features Times columnist
The Academy of Senior Professionals at Eckerd College has its next forum, "Stop the Presses! II," at 4 p.m. today at Lewis House on the Eckerd Campus, 4200 54th Ave. S, in St. Petersburg. Calling chocoholics for sweet fundraiser
Chocolate lovers can get a jump on a sweet holiday season Friday at the 15th annual Death by Chocolate in the Largo Cultural Center, 105 Central Park Drive. The event, hosted by the Rotary Club of Largo, will be from 7 to 9 p.m. More than 20 chocolatiers, made up of the community's restaurants and other businesses, will participate in Death by Chocolate. As they show off their sugary creations, patrons can nibble on the dessert samples while listening to the Largo High School Madrigal Singers. A silent auction will also be held. Corey Avenue gets crafty this weekend
The St. Pete Beach Corey Area Craft Festival returns for its 16th anniversary from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday on Corey Avenue. A full spectrum of craft art will be on display and available for sale including folk art, pottery, handmade jewelry, paintings, scented soaps and much more. The event is free.
