Hurricane Danielle has grown into a Category 2 storm and is expected to strengthen through the day.
The second hurricane of the 2010 season, Danielle is in the south-central Atlantic Ocean and is not currently threatening any land. Forecasters say it will stay far to the east of the U.S.
Danielle has maximum sustained winds around 100 mph, with higher gusts. It is moving west at 20 mph but should turn west-northwest and then northeast by early Wednesday.
Hurricane-force winds extend 30 miles from the center of the storm. Tropical storm winds extend 115 miles from the center.
Another low-pressure system expected to develop into a tropical depression is building off the coast of Africa.
Hurricane forecasters said there is a 70 percent chance the system will become a tropical cyclone in the next two days. Its name would be Earl.
It's moving west-northwest at 15 mph.
