MOON LAKE
Man tossed dog, beat woman, deputies say
Inside his mobile home, Bradley E. Wallace picked up a 60-pound pit bull and threw the dog out of a 10-foot high glass kitchen window at 1 a.m. Tuesday, authorities said.
A woman inside the home began phoning for help, but Wallace grabbed the phone out of her hands, threw her down, put her in a head lock and punched her in the face with his right fist, several times, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.
Two deputies responded to the residence on Glen Oak Avenue in Moon Lake Estates and witnessed Wallace beating the woman, a report states.
Wallace, 30, was arrested and charged with false imprisonment, tampering with a witness, domestic battery and cruelty to animals.
Medical conditions for the woman and the pit bull were not available Tuesday.
Wallace is being held without bail at the Pasco County jail.

Woman hits deputy's car, faces DUI charge
A Port Richey woman was arrested on drunken driving charges after running into the cruiser of a Pasco County sheriff's deputy, who received minor injuries.
Lorraine F. Leverone-Pothier, 61, was driving north on U.S. 19 about 2:30 p.m. Monday when her sport utility vehicle ran into the back of the deputy's car, which was stopped for traffic just south of Hudson Avenue, the Florida Highway Patrol said. The deputy's car then struck the back of 50-year-old Tamela Jones' vehicle.
Deputy Wainetta Bishop, 37, was treated for minor injuries at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, authorities said. No one else was seriously injured.
The trooper wrote that Leverone-Pothier was lethargic, swayed while standing, had a blank stare and "would produce grossly incorrect answers to questions." She was unable to maintain her balance to complete field sobriety tests, the FHP report said.
Leverone-Pothier faces charges of driving under the influence, careless driving and DUI causing property damage or injury. She was released from the Land O'Lakes jail after posting $500 bail.
It was the second time in two days that a Pasco deputy's car was hit by that of another driver. Deputy Ryan Lennox, 24, suffered a broken pelvis Sunday after a man ran a red light in New Port Richey.

Man returns to jail 9 days after release
Nine days after being released on bail, Steven J. Larson is back inside the Pasco County jail on charges he sent MySpace messages to a woman he's a accused of trying to run off a road last year. The woman — who is the mother of Larson's two children — has a domestic violence injunction against him, meaning Larson cannot contact her.
Larson, 24, told authorities he sent the woman messages because "she had been ignoring his phone calls," a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report states.
In April 2009, Larson was accused of hitting the back of the woman's car on U.S. 19 and attempting to force her off the road. At the time, the woman was pregnant and the couple's 2-year-old son was in her car, authorities said. Larson was charged with child abuse and aggravated assault. Larson spent eight days in jail before being released on bail.
Then, in November 2009, Larson was accused of plunging a knife into his roommate's chest because Larson was angry with the man for not helping out with their bills, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office. The roommate survived and Larson was charged with aggravated battery. Larson had been incarcerated from Nov. 13, 2009, until Aug. 14, when he was released on bail. Larson is awaiting trial in both cases, according to court records.
Larson, of 17324 Ridgeline Trail in Hudson, was arrested Monday and is charged with violating the domestic violence injunction. He is being held without bail.
